There should be official agreement with employer and employee to make sure employees are well informed before hand about the company and it’s rules/functions. And keeping employee on tract with the regular way of functioning inside your company.
Below is the sample of offer letter cum agreement letter for your reference. Employer can also modify as per your company’s ethics and within your own boundaries or limitations. This is designed especially for salon and spa industry keeping in mind with the operations of the company and the rules to be imposed to the staffs in order to make the system regularized and more systematic. (Letters in red are to be changed as per your company name, staff’s name, dates, etc.).

SUBJECT: OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT WITH PARLOUR LOOK GOOD
As per discussed during the interview, which you have had with Parlour LOOK GOOD, we would like to make you the offer for the position of “Hair Stylist”. The employment will take effect on 17th January 2017.
You will be designated as “Hair Stylist” and your initial work place will be in Cambridge Layout, Bangalore.
You are required to sign a copy of the agreement by “7th January 2017” as an indication of your accepting the offer of employment. We look forward to having you on board effective 17th January 2017.
This is just an offer letter and is subject to satisfactory reference checks. The terms and conditions governing this employment are given as below:
Date of Birth: The date of birth declared by you is 30th October 1980 and you will be bound by such date of birth in all service and working conditions with the Company.
Place of Posting: Your initial place of work will be at Cambridge Layout, Bangalore. However, your services are transferable to any of our salons across Bangalore, whether existing today or which may come up in future at any time at the sole discretion of the Company.
Duties: You are designated for the post of Hair Stylist. However, the Company reserves the right to assign to you such other duties and responsibilities as per the requirements of the Company at that particular point of time.
Services: You are expected at all times faithfully and to the best of your ability, experience and talent, perform to the Company’s satisfaction, all of the duties that may be assigned to you, from time to time. While you are in employment with the Company, you will not engage in any other employment, business or activity without the consent of the Company. While you render services to the Company, you also will not assist any person or organization in competing with the Company. Prior to executing this Agreement and beginning employment with the Company you are expected to be officially relieved from all the employment obligations from any prior employers. To the extend you have not been officially relieved by all prior employers, your employment with the Company will be void and will have no further obligations pursuant to this Agreement.
Salary: You will get the salary on every 10th day of the month.
Incentive: You are entitled to get incentives in addition to salary as per Company’s incentives policy. Incentives policy is subject to change as per Company’s performance in terms business revenues. You will not be eligible for incentives if you have taken three (3) days leaves or more in that month apart from your weekly holidays. You are not eligible for incentives for the first month of joining and during your notice period.
Confidentiality: During your employment with Parlour LOOK GOOD and thereafter you will treat all Confidential information including trade secrets as confidential and I will never use and disclose or authorize anyone else to use or disclose such confidential information except as is expressly permitted by the Company.
Code of Conduct: You are expected to abide to Company’s code of conduct without fail.
Probation Period: You will be on probation for a minimum period of six (6) months commencing from your date of joining the Company. The probation period may be extended further at the sole discretion of the Company. But if the Management is not satisfied with you work and conduct, your service shall be liable to termination without notice at any time during the first three (3) months of the probation period. During the probation period your services can be terminated with seven (7) days notice on either side without assigning any reason.
If your performance is found satisfactory, at the end of your probation period, you will be confirmed in the services of the Company as per applicable terms and conditions, and thereafter your services can be terminated on thirty days (30) notice on either side. If the thirty days notice period is not served, you have to pay back one month salary to the Company to avail the full and final settlement.
Leave: During the first six months from the date of hire, you will not be entitled to any leave unless specifically approved by the Company.
After six months of service, you are entitled to take leaves. If you require one (1) day leave, you should inform your superior in two days in advance. If you require two (2) days consecutive leaves which also includes your weekly holiday, you need to inform one week in advance and if you require three or more days, you need to inform one month in advance.
During service, continuous absence of 3 days from work without information/prior permission of your superior, (including overstay on leave) would result in termination without any notice.
During the period of your employment with the Company, you will devote full time to the work of the Company.
Further, you will not take up any other employment or assignment from any other company without permission of Parlour LOOK GOOD.
This offer letter is being issued to you on the basis of the information provided by you in your application and your resume during the time of your interview. If found that you have made a false statement or not disclosed the real fact during the interview discussion (also considering your resume), the Company has right to take action accordingly and may lead to termination of your employment.
